You can also download the new free GMATPrep from www.mba.com. This includes 2 computer adapted tests with unique questions and 5 practice sections, each with 15 questions. The interface of GMATPrep software conforms to the new test interface (font, frame, color, etc.) administered by Pearson VUE.

All questions in the Official Guide for GMAT® Review 12th Edition, Official Guide for GMAT® Verbal Review 11th Edition, and Official Guide for GMAT® Quantitative Review 11th Edition, are actual retired GMAT® exam questions. There is no overlap between questions found among the main guide, the Verbal guide, and the Quant guide.

On March 23, 2009 the 12th Edition of the Official Guide for GMAT® Review was released. Compared to the 11th edition, the 12th edition contains the same total number of questions. There is an overlap of approximately 2/3 of the questions found between the 11th edition and the 12th edition. The new edition contains 300 new questions not included in the 11th edition. Explanations for the overlapping questions have mostly remained unchanged. There is a slight increase in the number of Data Sufficiency problems and a slight decrease in the number of Problem Solving problems. The Diagnostic Exam, Math Review, Test-Taking Strategies and Directions are all unchanged from the 11th Edition.

In all 3 books the sections are divided into subtopics, which allow for a more structured approach to your preparation. This provides you with the opportunity to focus on the particular subgroup(s) you find most challenging, and thus use your preparation time most efficiently.

In Problem Solving, all solutions provide step-by-step explanations. In Data Sufficiency, all solutions cover the reasons why each individual statement is either sufficient or insufficient. In all verbal sections, greater efforts have been made to demonstrate to students why each wrong answer is wrong. Specifically for Critical Reasoning, the solutions include a recap of the question and logics behind the question.

The guides also categorize each section by topic or type. For example, in Problem Solving, the topics include geometry area, properties of numbers, etc. In Sentence Corrections, each problem is identified with one or more grammatical issues. In Critical Reasoning, the three main categories are: argument construction, argument evaluation, and evaluation of a plan. In Reading Comprehension, there are six types of questions: main ideas, supporting ideas, inference, application of information, logical structure and tone/style.

The practice questions, in each of the new books, have been ordered by level of difficulty to assist with your studies. Though sometimes you might not share GMAC's view as to what is difficult and not so difficult, this feature should aid in your preparation process, making you aware of the kinds of questions GMAC finds most challenging. Please note that Manhattan Review's Turbocharge Your GMAT course materials also provide a large selection of difficult questions to enable you to score high on the GMAT.

As for Tom, I was very satisfied. He showed a great understanding of what I wanted to convey vs. MBA's expectation, proved to be efficient and very prompt at coming back to me, correcting my essays, commenting my answers. I highly recommend his services.
