Based on the data released by ACT, the median total ACT score of testers in the past three years is 20.9. The total scores for each section are as follows: 20.3 for English, 20.8 for Math, 21.3 for Reading, and 20.8 for Science. To have a realistic chance of getting into highly selective universities, a score of 30 is commonly required. This score corresponds to the 94th percentile for ACT composite, Science, and Reading, 89th for Math, and the 95th percentile for English. While ACT releases reports that categorize scores based on some demographics, it takes more work to find reports that specifically focus on the performance of international students.

Nevertheless, external studies have shown that international test-takers, non-native English speakers, generally score lower on ACT English and Reading than their American peers. Manhattan Review understands the unique needs of students in Marseilles regarding ACT preparation. That's why our courses and private tutoring programs go the extra mile to provide customized support in these crucial areas. What sets us apart is that we are the exclusive test prep company dedicated to serving international learners.

For the past two decades, Louis, affectionately known as "Lou" by his clients, has dedicated his time and expertise as an ACT private tutor and group teachers. Starting his teaching career in Lewisburg, he began his ACT journey and has since been a valued member of Manhattan Review's Marseilles team for an impressive 16 years. Through his expertise, many students have achieved admission to top American universities.

Louis obtained a bachelor's degree in sociology from the University of New Hampshire and pursued a master's degree in entomology at the University of Vermont. Prior to moving to Marseilles, he dedicated his time to teaching humanities at a boarding school in Rhode Island, all while maintaining a busy roster as an ACT private tutor. As a true Tennessean, he proudly embraces his Cherokee heritage and actively works towards preserving indigenous cultures. When he's not immersed in cultural preservation, you can find him strolling along the picturesque paths of France, hand in hand with his loved ones, beneath the comforting shade of majestic elms.
